Detailing Interior Question:

Ok, growing up I always used ArmorAll, but when I bought my last Truck the Chevy dealer gave me a cleaning kit for free and said "Whatever you use after this kit runs out, do not use ArmorAll, it actually pulls the moisture out of your interior and tires and make them crack more."

The Chevy came with free car washes for life as long as the dealership sticker was on the back window and the interior had a bunch cigarette burns so I never cared about cleaning the inside, and I have moved twice and can't find the cleaning kit they gave me that I never used.

so, my question is has anyone heard the above statement about ArmorAll? and there are a lot of hard panels in my new 2016 Ram 1500 like the dashboard, so what does everyone use to detail the inside of their Rams? and is there anything better than Windex for cleaning your windows and badges?

I hate the slimy residue left from Armor All. I use gariot's garage interior detalier. Doesn't leave a slimy flim or a strong odor. I got mine from Auto Zone.

Ya it’s amazing, I put it on my dash, door panels etc, you should try it on your tires, it’ll protect them and leave a nice satin sheen like they are brand new, not all greasy like other stuff.

You ever get blooming in your tread? I am having that issue with my KO2s. Even if the side wall is clean, the tread is brown throughout.

Blooming is when the tire turns brown from oxidation among other things. Does your tread ever have the brown tint to it that the sidewall gets? By you saying you dont know what I mean, I am assuming the answer is no. Id show you, but its raining today and its being hidden as of now.

Meguiars is all I use. And have used for over 25 years. From tire dressing wash wax upholstery cleaner interior detailer and in between I use the quick detail towelettes on I’ve inside. Nothing but Meguiars.

I don’t think the anti static would help me any as I live on a dirt road and my driveway is 1/4 mile long. I bet it’s awesome for the city(girl) trucks. LOL [emoji38]

I use a thing that looks like slime(there are different brands) I keep one in glovebox, can reuse until gets too dirty, but makes detailing interior easy. Picks up hair, dust, gets in spots a rag has tough time.
