Hi,

I have an big problem, because the dashboard is already removed and now there is a big question mark on a part we want to change at the HVAC.
The heater air door actuators have to be changed, again. We have changed one in the back (between engine and HVAC), because the aftermarket product didn't work anymore after two years. It would have been better to put in a OEM part from Mopar. But it is like it is.

We ordered: 68448026AA - which will be used for all four actuators
We received: AA1138003360 - which is a superseded Part Number for the ordered part number. But it also says do not use on dual Zone HVAC, which we have.

We now block the shop, because we are not getting a different Mopar part in time. So does anyone know if we can use it? Because to remove the dashboard again is a heck of a job and cost to much money.

Thanks for your fast help!

A quick online search shows the 68448026AA p/n available at several Mopar parts companies with no superseding p/n referenced.

The AA1138003360 p/n only shows up at Amazon and ebay.
I think that says everything you need to know.

The only Amazon review I saw was poor, indicating it failed prematurely and required replacement.

Thanks for checking. Maybe the problem is that Mopar wants to sell its new OEM parts, so they are not listing the old numbers anymore. Because also the numbers AA1138003361 & AA1138003362 are listed a superseding p/n referenced and it also says on the package 68448026AA. See enclosed! Just weired!

You're most welcome.

I would be on alert after finding the original Mopar # you quoted as available at numerous Mopar Parts dealers with no reference to any superseded p/n's.

I looked at 5 or 6 Mopar Parts sites and saw the original #.

Also, the fact that the second p/n that you provided only shows up at Amazon and ebay, not Mopar sites, is a huge red flag.

Fraudulent parts sales are a big business in today's economy. They do it with NGK spark plugs and Fram air filters, too.

Just because it says Mopar, NGK or Fram on the package is insufficient evidence to support its authenticity.

Thanks, again!!! We are not getting the Mopar parts for our vehicle here in Europe (Germany) from a true Mopar shop here in the USA because of the political sanctions right now - before that is wasn't any problem. For example Rockauto, which has the OEM part cannot send because they are not sure if there is russian metal used for this part - so it is forbidden to ship it. So now I have to think to use an aftermarket from Rockauto which has not this problem. Because of the huge work with the dashboard I do not want to put an aftermarket in, again. And reapir it in 1 year again...:yucky:

I definitely sympathize with your predicament.

I hope that you intended, and also see the contradiction between the 2 sentences above.

Is this complication the same everywhere in Europe, at this time?
Would there be any possibility of obtaining Mopar OE parts from another nearby country?

I often order parts and supplies, having them delivered to my US post box in New York. I'm lucky enough to live in Canadastan, only 40 minutes away from the border. Many of these items aren't available or are crazy expensive where I live.

I understand that rules are rules, even though I strongly doubt that Mopar OE parts contain Russian materials.

I remember a statement a VP at the company once made to me back in the early '80s, when I was much younger. He said, and I quote, rules are made to be broken. Just make sure you have a good story in mind before doing it.

This was after I had been caught by him, breaking a company rule. LOL
