Well, it's one of those weird shaped sealed boxes.

Top depth is 5.75", which slopes out to a bottom depth of 7.5". It's 15.5" tall and 18" wide.

With the grille on it + backing up against the rear child seat restraint hooks, 7.5" bottom depth is about max I can fit behind the seats of the big ol' MegaCan.

My desperate guess is 1.25 to 1.4 cu.ft. but I'm probably wrong.

Looks like the maximum top mounting depth is 6.5" as the middle depth is around 7".

I haven't taken the spkr out of the box to measure the exact depth through the centerline of the hole. I just took .5" off the total depth measurement at the middle.

Just figured your airspace with the measurements you gave me...

If it's constructed with 3/4" material, you are actually around .66cuft and if it's 5/8" material, it's about .75 cuft, then of course you would have to subtract for driver displacement.

BTW, if you ever want to figure this stuff out, there is a box calculator tool here Subwoofer Enclosure Calculators, Fraction to Decimal, Parallel, Series, Port Length and Volume Calculators

Anyway, so you are wanting a little more output, but want to stay clean and accurate I assume. Now that I know what room we have to work with, my next question is......budget?

It's 5/8's material so .75 cu ft it is. I can go wider (no limit from side to side in the MegaCan) I just can't go deeper.

The Type S woofer is not a bad spkr, it's just a bit "shallow" sounding. The amp gives what it's spec'd for RMS and Max output at 4 ohms.

Budget - No real number in mind but $1,000 would be max.

Cool! I'll look into that one along with an amp to drive it. I assume I'll need a bigger box as well?

Nice sub, Jared. I'll start researching a box and amp.
