If they felt obligated to give away anything, it should be a couple 55 gallon drums of DEF to cover the extra amount it will use after programming.

Still contemplating . The four year warranty on some of the emission components is tempting for a 11 year old truck . The supposedly increase in DEF is no concern of mine . I just turned 80K on the truck ,2014 bought new . I use approximately two, 2.5 gallon jugs a year .

I previously thought your extended coverage would be 10 yrs from your initial purchase. Depending on when you purchased it, it would not be covered.
But, I just checked Cummins site and now I see they made it an "OR" option of the 4yr. Prior I remember they claimed whichever ends first.
They are really trying to tempt people I guess.

Yes they are . You get the recall ,it's 4 year , 48K warranty regardless of what mileage you have on the truck ,that has nothing to do with it .
