Differential Oil Question

I went to have the 4x4 differential fluids drained and new live infused in the differentials. All was fine for the front, 75w-90. The rear was another issue. The attendant drained the rear differential before checking inventory. He came back and put 85w-140 in the rear. After the job was done, he told me what had happened.

What to do? Drive and drain the rear and buy the recommended fluid?

I'ts no problem, it is very close to factory recommended 75w140. It is fine, especially in your location.

If memory serves still 85W-140 is conventional mineral oil and 75W-140 is some variant of synthetic oil, which is better for lower temp climate and slightly better fuel economy.
