After looking at the options on the market for mud-flaps/splash guards for our trucks I was a little disappointed, it seemed to be all hard rigid plastic junk and all the rubber ones I found were thick style tractor trailer looking flaps. So I decided to make my own set using a universal set from Rally Armor, I have used there products before on my Subaru's. They make a quality product that holds up well, yet looks sporty unlike anything I found on the market for Rams and covers the tire width perfectly.

I did a bit of prep making templates out of cardboard to get the correct level/even height, finding the mounting points, and making cutouts correct for the fronts so they had a factory looking fit. I had to engineer/fabricate some brackets to give the flap a mounting point inside the wheel wells to keep it solid so it didn't flop in the wind. My goal was to make them fit using all factory holes so there was no need to drill any mounting points.

I finished them yesterday and installed them last night, very happy with how they came out. They hang down 7 1/4" from the bottoms of the wheel flairs.

Plasti-dipped the aluminum brackets matte black they match the flaps perfectly but you really do not see them at all.

Nice job with the mud flaps.

I put Huskys on mine. Plain black and they fit well.
