Hello, Has anyone installed a switch in the BTSI connector to stop the truck from being put into gear? This would allow a remote start but not allow vehicle being put into gear. Stellantis has a tech bulletin but states that it will not work on the trans in a ram 1500 3.6l. For anti theft purposes should the fob code be stolen and truck started, they would not be able to put it into gear. Thoughts? thx!

You can buy a plug-n-play switch that interrupts the ignition,or you can splice in a switch into the red wire to the ignition switch.
Search on here as i forget who's building the plug-n-play version, but they're a member on here

Jeff @JW2 Innovations created the No-Splice Kill Switch Harness for push button start vehicles.

I don't recall if he has a solution for a traditional keyed ignition.

The supplied harness blends in to the OE wiring perfectly and the installation is fast and easy, depending on where you choose to install your switch.

I recently installed a Viper DS4 and a MyCar2, use a steering wheel club, and still use the kill switch.

And, I have a Neutral release strap cover to be picked up at my NY mailbox, made by another member. @Destroyer1320
