Dodge Ram Air Suspension System 6
I tested the front air bag with my AC gauges and adapters in series to monitor the pressure to the front right air bag. The pressure at the valve body to the wheel were a lot different than pressures at the tank manifold was 130 psi. Here are the results.
Wheel heights:
Right Front 38 3/4 " Left Front 38"
Right Rear 40 1/4" Left Rear 40"
These reading are a little bit different due to my garage floor is not perfect.
Reading going down:
Level 2 going down. 155 psi.
Level 1 going down 135 psi
Aero going down 120 psi.
Entry going down 105 psi.
Reading going up:
Entry going up 105 psi.
Aero going up 135 psi.
Level 1 going up 142 psi.
Level 2 gong up 155 psi.
AS you can see the pressures going up are a little bit higher than levels going down. There maybe some resistance in the suspension system or maybe if I waited longer between level changes it could be closer to the same.
Wheel heights after the tests:
Right Front 38 3/4" Left Front 38 1/4"
Right Rear 40 1/4" Left Rear 40"
Going to dismantle the Front air bag, clean the parts and replace the large O Ring.
The rear air bags stay inflated all the time now, however towing my car hauler last week the compressor was working hard to keep the height up, so I am going to replace the O rings on the rear fittings as well.
