Dont let you BATTERY DIE!!!

hello so i have a 06 1500 3.7l, and i guess let the battery die. opps!! After charging it, i went to start it up and vroom no issues running. BUT!! Now the check engine light is on as well as the brake and abs o and the airbag light. Took it to the repair shop and the put new batt. in. No fix. OK try clearing all the codes. Still pulls up the codes after clearing it. mmmm lets try and reflashing it. Nope same thing so now a new computer time. and reflash that computer. HAS any one ever heard of such **** with our trucks.????????

I don't think your battery was the cause of the issue, more a side effect of it.
Sounds like you had a large system ground if it fried your computer.

Is your truck stock? Does it have an alarm, stereo other modifications?

I agree with WhiteExpress. I also have an '07 that the battery has died on several times (don't ask) and replaced the battery twice, and it has had no issues at all.

Sounds like someone shorted it, tried jumping it with the terminals mis-matched or something to eat your electronics up like that.

I have NEVER heard of that happening before. You got something else going on there big time, or someone screwed the pooch tinkering with the battery and isn't telling you the truth about all the sparks flying.

Sounds like when the shop stuck the new battery in they did it wrong and pooched the TIPM.
