On my first Ram, I purchased a steel safe that was designed to fit into the console. It was bolted down into the main compartment, and was quite sturdy.
Not only does it not fit my Quadcab 2017, but NOBODY makes one to fit the console in this year/model.
I’m thinking of bolting it to the floor/driveshaft tunnel - assuming there is enough access to do so underneath. I’m old and arthritic - so I don’t feel like crawling under the truck to look around.
For those who do mess around in that area, is there enough room to get in there and have someone drill the floorboard and bolt the safe to the top of the tunnel - either up front (preferred) or in the back.
TIA
