I have a 2018 Ram 2500 HD Turbo diesel. My first diesel. My questions relate to tire pressure and fuel mileage found in the Drivers Information Center (DIC). First, actual tire pressure never matches the tires pressure found in DIC. Second, fuel mileage , in DIC, never matches the fuel mileage that I enter into my GasBuddy App. Calculating fuel mileage should be a simple mathematical equation.
How can I have confidence with the information found in Drivers Information Center if the information never matches.
Do other Ram users have the same problem or feelings that I have.
Thanks for your replies.

Neither of those provide particularly accurate information. The MPG information is more of a snapsot in time, with nowhere near the accuracy of hand calculated mileage (many members report at least 1 mpg or more off). I've found my TPMS sensors to be pretty close, sometimes within .5 psi.

The mpg readout on these trucks are also commonly referred to as the lie o meter. Mine is usually off by roughly .5-1 mpg if I do hand calculate a tank of gas.

How off is your tire pressure readout compared to what they actually are? Mine is off by roughly 2-3 psi compared to the gauge I use. It doesn't really bother me at all. I just fill up and air down accordingly.

The Fuel Gauge may say that you have a 1/2 tank full
Your fuel mileage guesstimator can do simple math
17 mileage per gallon
14 gallons in the tank

But it can not possibly know, what you yourself don't even know
It does not know if you are going to be driving at 55 or 65 MPH

Speed & terrain are 2 factors that have to be entered into the equation
Your guesstimeter can't possibly add those 2 factors into the equation

So it does second best
It uses what ever your current speed is

I don't know if the computer can tell how much LOAD ? your using at that speed, like climbing a hill, or on flatland

I do know that if i am going downhill, i have seen 99 MPG many times

Yep, they are just rough gauges. I've had MPG info in my vehicles for over 20 years, and it's never been accurate. Sometimes close, sometimes not.
