Driver side mirror

Had somebody come over the line today and slapped my mirror. Was a F350. I need to replace the mirror glass and the black cap that snaps to the back of the mirror. Anyone know if this will require the complete mirror or can I just get the parts somewhere? I think I found the glass but not the black plastic cap/cover.

As far as I know, the caps are not available separately

If you find some, post here because I'd like to have a couple to paint.

look on ebay there are brand new replacement mirrors for way less than dealer

Will I have to take it to the dealer to get software flashed or anything if it is the same mirror?
