Would it be ok to drive without my grill on? I would drive to work in the morning and home in the afternoon, about 10 miles round trip. Any potential problems? Thoughts??

Depending on what grill you have the truck will run cooler without it. Just like pulling the plastic engine cover helps reduce heat soak on the intake manifold

I was tempted to do so, while I was installing headlights, etc.

But it was so easy to take on and off I figured I would just do that.

I suppose its different if you dont HAVE a grille :)

Take a picture of your truck with no grill.

Does taking the engine cover off let more noise into the cab?

I’m doing the lights in the grill and want to give the epoxy overnight and most of today to dry and I still have wiring hanging on the grill. Otherwise, I would have just popped it on quick.

It is only a 10 mile round trip to work & home.

I haven’t noticed any more noise from removing the engine cover. It’s super easy to pull out or put back in if you don’t like it. It pretty much just insulates the intake manifold almost like a hot box. The honeycomb grill is the one that works best on the trucks since it is wide open. I am using a a aftermarket mesh grill which is very close in flowability to the honeycomb.

I've been driving for about a year with no grill and everything's fine... I do have a Ranchhand front bumper and grill protector so I don't worry too much about chickens...

Replacing my grill is on my to-do list as soon as I get my shop completed and cleaned out...
