I just had HPP PERFORMACE out of Dallas do 6.4 intake, long tube headers, TSP stage 1 cam, off road y pipe and stock cat back exhaust on 89 tune.

super slow, is it tuned wrong or did they mess up the intake system install. I spent 8k and it runs like ****. Please help with opinions.
Steering column runs headers and is dangerous to drive.

I mean the steering column rubs the bumps the headers. Sounds like there is a exhaust leak. What are your thought

Could be lots of things.

Your stock Converter is the weak link followed by the ****** trans .

Did they tune the trans ? Why are you tuning on 89 ?

What kind of performance shop routes the hose back to the intake on a 6.4 manifold... Pull that crap off and put on a breather.

The steering rubbing on the LTs is something lots of us had to deal with. Nothing a hammer and socket couldn't fix. But for 8K that **** should've been dealt with before you got it back.

But what do I know im a certified backyard youtube mechanic... lol...

I thought 5.7 rams with the 5 speed only dyno 300rwhp, 330 for the 8 speed? You're making 63hp over stock to the wheels swap an 8 speed and you gain another 20hp. The headers rubbing the steering column could be triggering the knock sensors to pull timing under load.

TSP lifters I had installed. I was told they are garbage and I’m going to have problems with them if I don’t pull them and install mopar lifters. Is that true? Still having a non running truck Rick at tapped performance was no good and finding a problem with my truck. Please don’t anyone use this guy, he’s a joke

just looking at the dyno sheet i can see they messed up the tune and they are trying to blame components.. That should be a nice clean line curve like above not a choppy mess like the one they provided you.. The truck should have never left the shop or been paid for until they fixed the issue. They must not care about their immage to let something go out the door running so bad

What gears do you have? The good thing about the rfe is with gears and upgrades you can get more speed in the tires fairly cheaply. Since most guys with rams are not looking for top end speed but rather low end speed, take a look there after you clean up a couple things. The only bad news is you have the 5 speed and not the 6 speed, but that is where you tune can help with shift points and performance. Truck is 4x4?
