QUOTE=Lhemi;770355]If you follow the 20% increase at the crank that means my truck is 388hp at the crank. Well 388.8 which is down 1.2 hp from the stock advertised horsepower.
Anyone can add my mod list up and see the amount of money I've spent to loose 1.2 hp. If you where just going off Dyno numbers it doesn't make any since, my truck is faster than the day I bought it. But that's just my butt Dyno, no data to prove it. In fact this Dyno shows I've spent a lot of money to make my truck slower.[/QUOTE]
Ive been on forums like this since my First Hemi Ram in 03.
I have to admit your pull looked and sounded great.
Unfortunatly I have over the years witnesed the same situation where too many power adders decrease hp or provide only very minimal gains for the value.
Butt dyno can be your best friend. One thing I learned about power adders is most of them change the approch of the power delivery. It can be a good feeling and might even bump up the 1/4 time a tad.
I have always questioned, since Ram does not support aftermarket well with performance programming much. Would I be too far out of line to thinlk that even with this added and thet bolted on the computer and all of its sensors will continue to adjust the perameters of the motor to keep it in check.
Think about it, If the throttle body is fly by wire and programmed to not ever hit WOT why wouldnt the computer and all of its sensors keep the truck from ever reaching full potential?
If the programmers out there dont allow custom mapping and WOT or say 1 to 1 pedal to throttle body how can the truck ever see its peak performance.
There is too much governing from Ram in the program. I wouldnt doubt for a second if the computer will always compensate power and speed to some degree when Items are added.
PLease be fore anyone gets real ignorant, this is only a thought.
