I recently bought a edge Juice made in 2006 for my 98 dodge ram, not sure if all the necessary parts are included, ie exhaust gas temp sensor, and etc,
but so far the seller told me the backlight on the screen doesn't work.
I'm experienced with electronics so I might check that out at some point.
any suggestions on how to install? I found an online manual. but it only shows newer products.

Can't say. None of us here have experience with it on a diesel, we're gas guzzlers. Best bet would be to post on the diesel section, those guys should be able to better help you

I don't see a section devoted strictly to gas, nor diesel, I see a general 2nd gen area for performance and this is it. could you point me in the right direction.

has anybody ran across replacement sensors for edge products, and not from edge, ie fuel pressure, lift pressure, egt temp and tranny temp. not looking to go for real cheap pos. but would like to save some bucks on sensors. EAS sensors are not cheap for fuel pressusre, etc.

Here ya go:
Dodge Ram Cummins Diesel Forum - DODGE RAM FORUM - Dodge Truck Forums

Yeah the 2nd gen section is the unofficial 2nd gas section as none of us regulars own a diesel. In fact we pretty much so have a v8. However we can help you in the future if need be with anything else lol. Trans chassis interior etc lol.

I run a GlowShift trans temp myself

well the edge EAS tranny temp sensor is a one wire, and the glow shift is a two wire, I guess I could just run one wire to the block and swap out the other connector for one matching the edge connector, do you think this would work?

k, next question, how much pressure do I need to monitor on fuel pressure, max for the cummins is 14-18 psi but edge doesn't list a sensor that goes that low, I found one with glow shift that reads up to 40psi, I think that would be more suitable, and the plug matches the harness.

The 24v typically only has between 10 and 15 psi between the lift pump and injector pump. Edge ought to have a sensor that works with it being a major diesel aftermarket supplier. A 40 psi gauge would probably work but might not be as accurate as say a 30 or 25 psi gauge.

Thanks for your response, I spoke with edge today and they can supply me with a kit that has all the necessary sensors for my model of edge and year of vehicle. and yes it only needs the 40 psi sensor, the display is digital so it should be fairly accurate.
in my signature I list my fuel pump it's adjustable allowing for aftermarket performance products, previous owner installed it, as these are way beyond my budget. bout $600 or so for the pump. hopefully it wont go out for some time.

Good deal, I was under the assumption that the gauge was analog but that will work better anyways. And that's a good score to already have the adjustable lift pump. I'm not well versed on diesel (not a lot of people on this side of the forum are) but an adjustable pump will definitely be a necessity for any kind of heavy modification/tuning.

just fyi, I have an edge Juice with attitude, it's display is digital. I just installed it and I noticed the boost pressure is zero, so I think I have a bad map sensor. Before I installed the edge I was getting an error with the intake air heater relays, anad the start engine light took forever to go out, not it goes out immediately and the engine starts right up, even cold, so I've got a MAP sensor on order as the local shops don't seem to have the right one. Go figure.
