I've been debating, about deleting the EGR system when I get an updated tune. What are the Pros/Cons when doing this mod? Anybody have any advice or experience when doing this?

I've heard it doesn't change much, but as I said that's only what I've heard.

When you remove this and reroute the pcv into a catch can it keeps the throttle body and intake manifold nice and clean.
Egr was only put here to lessen tailpipe emissions. It does not help milage.
Imagine farting in a paper bag then breathing it in, again and again. Exhaust gas recirculation haha

There are arguments on both sides...you could make the argument that it helps gas mileage because the exhaust gases displace some of the air in the cylinder which means that less fuel is required to reach a stoichiometric mixture.

Either way, deleting it won't make much difference performance wise.

I just did it on my '92 Ramcharger (sorry - Gen.1 I know...), because I just had the Hughes plenum fix done. It was rusty, and about to fall off, so rather than replace it, we did the delete.

If your area has a tailpipe sniff test, it probably WON'T pass inspection now. Thankfully, we have a >5,000 miles/year exemption. My truck is a weekend offroad toy, so I'm OK there. I live 30' from my office & walk to work every day - I barely put 6k/year on my DD!

My 318 Magnum seems to like it SO far! :waytogo:

I've had my egr delete for a while now. Other than looks an throwing a p0403 a 406 codes, it does help when you wanna service the plugs/coils on the passenger side head.
