Electric Steering stiffened up!

Morning, in the last two days I’ve noticed that my power steering on my 2014 1500 seems to be a lot stiffer. The truck has the electric power steering and it is still working, just feels like it takes more effort. No noises, no lights, and the steering wheel still returns to center. Anyone else have an issue like this?

I have heard of a few steering racks being replaced. Can't recall what the owners felt before repair. Keep us posted.

I had my steering rack replaced recently, but I got all the warning lights and everything.

Was complete temporary failure of the power steering on mine.

Thanks for the info. Praying it’s just a steering knuckle. It’s currently in the shop now so I’ll report back with the findings.

Got it back today, it is the steering knuckle under the dashboard. Dealership said the part is on back order for about a week due to high demand for this part. Mechanic said the joint was extremely stiff, so he lubed it up and worked it around to get me by until the part comes in. Looking at $270 for the total bill, which is way better than a whole new electric steering system!
