Electronic brake control

Hey guys, I’m looking to get an electronic brake controller for my 09 1500 but I’m not sure where to start. I would like to have one that looks natural on the truck and not some bulky looking after thought. Any recommendations or advice as to where to start looking for said device? Also, are they like a plug and go type thing or do they need to be hardwired in? Also, if y’all want to share some pics of yours that’d be cool too.

The only one that would look stock is the stock one. To get it to work you have to install it and then have the dealership flash the truck or buy an AlfaOBD and do it yourself. Keep in mind that the stock location for the brake controller on an '09 is on the left side of the steering column near the light switch. Me, I just installed a P3 with a Ram wiring harness and was done with it. I'm happy with it.

Yes, the harness is designed for your truck with the proper connectors. It's plug and play. It's bought sperate from the controller. Go to the Tekonsha web site and look up what harness you need for your specific year. The harness that comes with the controller is a universal harness.
