Hi

I am approaching my first oil change on my brand new 2021 75th. Is there any oil that I should specify to be used?

Also going to change the rear diff fluid and have the magnet cleaned. Any preferred oil to use?

Thanks

What does the owners manual say? That would be the preferred for everything

There’s probably 20 threads on the subject. Amsoil,Redline or Penzoil Ultra premium seems to be the consensus for engine oil. I use Amsoil in the engine and diffs.

Pennzoil ultra platinum per owners manual and mopar gear oil. For the record I changed my diff oil and it was a waste of money as it looked new and nothing on the magnet.

ditto, same here but was upgrading to aev diff covers, almost zero on the magnet. I see you removed the swaybar for better access....I should have done that, would have saved me some headache.

3 best Hemi engine oils are Red Line, Amsoil, and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum.

I see you have a Heavy Duty. Did they stop using the AAM Trac-Lite Differential? I've read they did to save money and went with a clutch limited slip instead. AAM Trac-Lite is non-clutch, all-gear Torsen differential that doesn't like limited-slip additive.

If Torsen, then 3 choices: Red Line NS, Mobil Delvac 1, Mopar. None of these has limited slip additive.

If clutch, then Red Line or Amsoil Severe Gear

I would have to have 99% of this article translated to my native trailer park English for proper understanding, however the summary states there are 3 types of oil, conventional, blend and full synthetic.

lots of great info there, along with people who have sent oil out at intervals to be tested etc....
