I saw these HEMI 5.7L V8 decals for the engine cover on eBay. I was wondering if anyone has tried them out.

I sure wish I would have seen those before I did my engine cover. Taping that off was a PITA. If they don't cost too much I would definitely try them.

I have some on my engine cover, but they've only been on for a couple of weeks. I don't know what color you're looking for, but I know if you email the guy, he has some colors he doesn't post on Ebay, such as chrome. :)
They seem to stick pretty well. When I was applying mine, I got one crooked and didn't think I was going to be able to get it off without tearing it. They're also pretty thick, too... not like some stickers that stretch and tear before you can get them off the backing.
The only caveat is that they are just a bit bigger than the letters on the engine cover. If that's a problem, you'll have some trimming to do.

I just ordered the Hemi Orange from this guy. He lives in the same city as me. You said the material is holding up pretty good? I think the Orange will look good with the rest of my truc k being pure white :D

That's gonna look sweet.

I've had mine for a little over 2 weeks now, so I can't really say they'll last forever, but the chrome ones I used were nice and sturdy - they almost felt like they'd cut me if I ran my finger along the edges.
While I was putting them on, I had to pull a couple of them off to re-position them, which you know is never a good idea  but they didn't stretch or tear and stuck really well.
In short, they were worth the $15 to me.

Now, to email this guy and tell him he owes me a commission. :D

When I first started working on my cover, I was going to tape off the letters, too. After masking off the center part that I painted silver, I surely would have murdered someone before I got those letters masked off. :gr_guns:

I applaud your patience. lol

If you could post a pic afterward would be nice. I think I'll get red (my trucks red) at some point.

Very nice. Thanks for the info. I too was not patient enough to tape the letters when I painted mine. I'll be ordering this up soon.

My decal should arrive today or tomorrow. The seller is sending me a full list of available colors. I will report back on quality with pics of course.

Well, after going back and forth about even keeping my cover on. I put the decal on today and I like it. What do you guys think?

I'm a bit biased, of course, but I think it looks quite nice. How strong is the material on the colored ones? I'm sure my chrome ones are a bit different.
Did you paint the cover, or is it just really clean? lol
