The 5.9 magnum turns a Dakota into a fast truck as it is..... But I would do headers, a good flowing exhaust, and a CAI, other will chime in. Welcome to the forum!

Droid incredible 2 on the move!

There's not really a whole lot of go fast parts for the magnum engines. Aside from what was mentioned earlier, you could get a ported TB and and do the kegger mod to the intake or replace it all together. Hughes makes a few different intakes for these engines as well as heads and cams

Are you going to be DDing this truck or what? I have seen some 5.9s in dakotas at the strip that are full on sleepers.

daily driving.

Intake, exhaust, and a programmer are the first basic mods you can do

depends how much you want to spend. here is a nice kit.

Hughes Engines

only thing i would do different is have the cam done on a 112lsa. it will help with torque dropping the lsa a couple. and get a sct tuner. then you would be making pretty good power. probably about 75 to 90 more hp.

that kit would get rid of the ****** heads, which a prone to cracks. and also eliminate the leaking plenum issues.

thats why i went with a 114lsa. a procharger is in my near future. my cam lacks a little now. but when i throw that super on there it should really shine. should be real close to 500hp. gonna run a d-1sc, 3 row intercooler, and 10lbs of boost. instead of the p-1sc and 2 row intercooler. 5600$ for the setup i am getting.

ramhunter. seen some pretty nice cummins at the track friday night. the fast one ran a low 11 in the quarter.5 or 6 of them in the 12-13 sec range. nice smoke show.

how many miles on that motor you are rebuilding? mine had 64k on it when i had the heads off and they were already cracked between the valves. so i would have them checked out.
