Cant play that in my phone but if based on what u said i would look at the exhaust manifold bolts and gaskets. Theres one on each side.

Sounds like it has a misfire going on and rod noise. It does not sound good at all and it does not sound like exhaust leaks one bit.

The recording is cold start and idle. Its also their after the engine has reached operating temp. I can pull up next to a building (in drive thu) and hear the noise.

I have a Air ram, K/N filter, i replaced the OEM intake tube with a shorty intake it just deletes the box and OEM tubeing for a stright tube connecting the OEM air box, and have power wire.

I have a ticking sound in the front of my truck on both sides, and when i lean down by my front tires i can hear it. As the truck warms up the sound dulls down but can still be noticed. I know my exhaust manifold needs a little TLC and yours might to, the same sound in mine i have described is also amplified if i pull up next to a building or somewhere that the sound will bounce off of good enough.

Then again it could be the rod issue mentioned above, and in that case we are both in for some problems =P

Does anyone else have anymore suggestion to the type of noise in the recording.? If u cant download it pm me and ill send it to ya or re upload it.

The truck is still under the limited power train warrenty as im the only owner. Would it be worth while to let the stealership see if they can pinpoint it futher, if so has anyone ever used this warrenty before? (And ive done the first five yrs inspection req. Alrdy last year)
