Ok, just an update, block is getting bored 30 over, should be done and ready for pickup this week. Crankshaft was bad, had worn thrust bearing really bad, looks like the motor was previously in a manual truck to make that happen. Picked up heads, only had one very small crack between the valve seats. About to order the rebuild kit, anyone had experience with the Enginetech kits? They appear to be decent quality. Also noticed my flexplate did not have weights, truck had a used 5.9 swapped in from the original 5.9 (never had a 5.2). I thought all flexplates for the 5.9 were weighted? If so i will need to get a new flexplate.
