Engine swap

I picked up a 2014 1500 with 5.7 hemi. The engine and tranny are both in great shape. My question is, will I be able to swap out my 4.7 in my 2007 1500?
Is there anything I would need to upgrade if I were able to swap out motors?
Everything is stock on my 07 ram slt.

I've lost count of every time we get a ridiculous engine swap question lol. Is your 4.7 broken? And which is it? This post says 4.7, your info box says 5.7? Either way, you're not gonna swap a 4th gen VVT hemi into your 07.

I'm fairly new to the forums and I apologise for being "ridiculous". I thought these forums we're here to help people. As for my 4.7, I am about to hit 250,000 miles on it. It is still running but it is not able to handle pulling a trailer everyday. I live in the mountains and Instead of having to buy a new truck, I was trying to take advantage of an offer of basically a new motor. ..

Sigh. I didn't say you were ridiculous, I was referring to the engine swap you were requesting (reread, if I think you're being ridiculous I will straight up tell you). I do think you're being ridiculous getting butthurt already. Forum is here to help people, but most people show up expecting spoon fed information; at your age you should have the personal initiative & pride to at least try to find the answer. Do you try searching first? Reason I ask is this topic and it's variations have been pretty much beat to death.
Congrats on getting a 4.7 to that many miles (if it's the original engine); not a feat many can claim.
If you did actually search and somehow didn't find it, say so and I will lay out exactly what you are in for, then you can see if you still wanna consider it.

Hey guys, this is my first post. I currently have a 2008 ram 1500 (4.7 liter) w/ 248,000 miles. My poor truck can't handle pulling my trailer (6x12) in the mountains and this is where a majority of my events are. I have been looking to move up to a 2500 and have had a few people tell me I should just get a 1500 w/ a hemi. My question is, what year should I be looking at? From what I have read, sounds like '12 was a great year. Any input is much appreciated!

Not butt hurt at all. I have looked into it and have found conflicting results. I had a few people tell me that they should swap out fine since they are both from a 1500. I just want to make sure before I make a 6 hour trip to get it.

Yeah, my engine hasn't been rebuilt. All original milage.

Ok, will it bolt in? Yes. It will bolt in to your truck physically on the mounts and to the transmission. After that though...
1. 4.7 and any hemi are completely different engine families
2. The engine you're looking at wasn't even available in the generation truck you have. The 09+ (eagle) hemi is vastly different than it's 03-08 predecessor.
3. Your electronics are incapable of running a VVT & MDS hemi, much less hooking up to it. This would require harness and computer changes, not to mention the ability perform them and also flash modules. You have a 1st generation CAN bus Ram, from 09 on it's next gen. While not impossible there has been proven functionality loss (cruise control, etc).
4. While the accessory drives are similar (pretty much the same) between the same year 4.7 and 5.7, the eagle has a completely different setup due to the engine and packaging redesigns.

This pretty much covers the biggies, with some smaller support type things that would also need to be done. Nothing is impossible, especially if you have cubic dollars or the right know how and some dollars. It definitely isn't a plug and play operation. It would actually be easier to drop in an 08+ 4.7 (310hp) to your truck and adapt your harness to it, then get your PCM custom tuned.
