engine wire clean up

Okay, so..im narrowing this down to what I wanna do, gotta pick a set of terminals but this thread is about the wires everywhere.

I plan on cleaning the wiring up and making everything nice and pretty..

so not really liking my red loom as much as I thought I would..it doesnt stay in place well, prob because its a plastic loom.

anyways

Iv narrowed it down to these options

*a metal/stainless braid sleeving (looks like a hose, not a coil loom)
*black sleeving
*red sleeving
*a metal split loom that has a "chrome" look to it, iv read the reviews and this stuff holds up well.

I plan on livening up the engine bay with quite a few red accents, so keep that in mind when telling me what you think would look best!

gonna go ahead and start a poll while im at it..

dave, would you like me to add poop brown sleeving?? LOL

I think a mix of black and red loom would be best. I think there is a VERY fine line between just the right amount of colored loom and too much colored loom...LOL

I thinka normal red is too bright and sticks out too much. I would think something that cleans up but blends in a bit more would be better. IMO

without seeing pics of the options, I'd go with the SS braid. its flashy, but not to flashy, blends, but stands out, and will reflect some of the reed around your engine compartment

Y'know..I try REALLY try hard NEVER to comment on this kind of stuff because everyone has thier own tastes...But I can keep silent no longer.

I'm not into garish red wire loom...even on red vehicles...btw it also fades and breaks down quicker in heat. Turns a pinkish white color when overexposed to sunlight.

Same thing with chrome. That just screams "ghetto"...or "this would be ok if I had a chrome vette". Too much is too much.

Stainless...hmmm tough, resistant...untill one of those braids break through a wire and the braid is grounded....I would vote for nylon braid.

Y'know...good old black...holds its strength, color, and resists most liquids, except battery acid. Doesn't break down easily in heat or light. Like a slinky low cut black dress it never goes out of style.

think the best of both worlds is gonna be using 3 of these in the right amounts to balance everything and keep it all clean and use the right stuff in the right places which 3 they are...yall are just gonna have to wait
