Hi everyone, so i have a 2006 ram 1500 and ive been having this issue since i bought the truck back in 2018 where i can hear the starter click and i have power inside but the engine just wont start.
I replaced the battery and the starter so i know these things are ok but ive heard about the ignition switch recently and i wanted to know what you guys think first before i put anymore money into this truck

Did your new starter come with a new solenoid on the side? Your indications in the old days was most likely that, but I haven't had to deal with a bad solenoid with either of my Dodges. If I turned the key, the solenoid would click but the starter wouldn't engage. I would take a pair of Channellocks with insulated handle and hop the solenoid posts, and the engine would start right up. That told me it was the solenoid and not the starter or ignition switch.

That's just one possibility, but I think if it were the ignition switch, you wouldn't even get the click.
