Not necessarily. if you get the right canbus LED's you dont. I have LED's in my reverse lights and plate lights with NO load resistors and i do not have any bulb out errors. thats with using the morimoto LED's we offer

The LED tail lights have 7440 reverse bulbs and the newer projector headlights have a 9005 bulb for the ow beams

I bought a box of 10 labeled as "can bus error free" off of Amazon for my 2014 and they are running with no issues, but I believe your 2015 has a more "picky" can-bus system, YMMV.

I’m running these bulbs from Diode Dynamics in my 2018 and I get the bulb out error message at least once a week. I’ve had them for about a month now. Guess I’ll be looking for something different.

I bought these for $2.99 and haven’t got any errors. I did have to file down the end length because it was a little long for the housing and close to the lense but that was easy.

It seems to be based on what car they go in. I have had superbrightleds in my Mustang error free for almost ten years. I had them in my Charger for 2 1/2 years error free until last weekend when I sold it. In my KL Cherokee? They’re all starting to fail and blink. And the ones in my Jeep are even from the exact same order as the ones that were in my Charger. The Jeep needs canbus bulbs to prevent them from staying on at a low glow when they’re supposed to be off. That may or may not have something to do with their short life span, just like in these trucks. There’s something in the electrical system that they just don’t like.

yeah from the reviews they seems to have batch that are better than other, since I'm in Canada returning them wasn't worth it.

I'm running these right now, for about 3 months. One bulb has failed but for some reason I never got the error on the evic.

Same, I never got the message in the EVIC, but noticed them when I was backing up the truck and one was off and the other one was flashing. In cab, I've used the 9 led version and sometime they will flash.
