New to this topic...I have the carven progressive exhaust kit. Wife and I just bought our first house and it's in a calmer neighborhood and I figured I don't wanna be "that guy", that from the get go is hated, haha. Who can educate me on exhaust cutouts? Would I be able to operate one on my current setup with the carven system?

Is your carven exhaust already too loud? I'm trying to figure out what you wanna accomplish

Sorry - I’m trying to see if there is an option for me to quiet it down. “Push a button” and get it quiet, for example early mornings and nights. And then push a button and get the normal carven progressive tone. Make sense?

i just googled it, looks like you could buy a universal cutout, maybe make it a reverse system somehow. although seems a little regressive to what you have, i understand your concerns though

Edit:

idk if you kept your stock hardware, but this looks rather simplistic?

Cutouts make it louder. It’s an adapter to open up before the exhaust. When you close it, goes back through the exhaust.

My opinion, F em. I have the same exhaust at my apartment. Pretty sure the Neighbour that lives on the other side of the wall of my garage hates me when I back in.

Tbis^^^ that's why I asked what he wants to accomplish.

If you wanna be quieter. But your stock exhaust back on and have cut outs installed. Open the cut out to get loud

*****.

@PDXRam that glare coming off your truck has blinded me until Monday, looking great! I don't have carven, but I have a fairly loud exhaust. I live with the Joneses and the neighbor has a 2 year old, a new born + two badass German Shepherds that can hear me breathe in my sleep. No complaints from him and he would tell me. I Just keep the pedal light in the neighborhood, very light and sneak my way out.

That gif. is pretty funny, not gonna lie...hahaha.

So I have the carven progressive system. If anything then, put the stock exhaust back on and install a cutout with a remote. That would make it essentially straight piped when the cutout is in effect?

I have JBA ceramic coated 1 3/4 longtubes, catless Y, QTP cutout, Factory muffler, and Moes 5" tips. Mash button # 2 on the homelink = Loud AF. Mash button # 3 = Whisper quiet.
It's pretty awesome. :Big Laugh:
