Exhaust Spec Question and Opinions Wanted

Purchased my vehicle about 10 mos. ago from dealer. Previous owner had done a cat-back think a Flomaster. Noticed that right and left exhaust about a 1/2 inch uneven, and OCD me is really annoyed. Additionally, the previous owner has more of the exhaust tip revealed outside of the bumper.

Thinking about shortening back to “factory look” recessing back so they are flush with the bumper (and of course even with each other).

Anybody know what the spec is in terms of OEM placement of the exhaust tips under the bumper “half moons”?

I don't have the exact specs but one thing I would do is take the picture you posted to the muffler shop when you have the work done.
