I think the stockers are welded on.

Sawzall (reciprocating saw) or zip disk on a 5" grinder will do.

Undo the bolt and wiggle off. Theres a small tack weld, but mine came off REALLY easy. I used hi-temp gloss block engine manifold paint, $5. Couple months no issues.

no tone difference, but they sure look beefy as hell!

They do give a tone difference. A member here posted videos with tips as the only difference. With the longer 4" rtips it was actually quite a bit deeper.
I'll try to find the link tomorrow, to many beers in now to remember who it was now.

Just got the tips 5"/4" in and adapters 4"/2.5" out in today ... I don't want it to look like crap so I may bring it to a muffler shop to cut existing tips off and weld in new one

At one point JJ had the mufflex 5" tips, these look to be them

I thought the mufflex were only around 4" long by 5" diameter, these look to be like mine at 12" long that way any longer they interfere with the resonators. (15").

Your right, I was looking on my phone and couldn't really see the length. I just remember him having the mufflex 5" tips, so I assumed these were it. I remember him not liking the mufflex tips because of how short they were. I don't remember him changing them out though, so I too wonder which ones these are?

I found the 5"X12" to 4" transition the easiest because you can weld your existing OEM 4" tips as a reducer .-Summit Racing- polished stainless 5" to 4" X 12" SILVERLINE brand exhaust tip's, check out the pricing, not bad.
