I recently did a cat back with a flowmaster Super 40 409s single in, dual out muffler, with no resonators and swapped for gen5 tips. After a few weeks of that setup, I may be installing a set of resonators just to tone it down a bit. It sounds great and all. I think it would sound a world better slightly toned down, so the addition of resonators should help with that. I looked at a Borla muffler, which I thought was a little on the mild side. And like Gabe said above, Carven is another one who I should have looked at a little better. But just so you know, flowmaster MAY require you to keep your resonators to keep it in line...
I put a jones flowpack on my truck recently, I like the sound, look up single chamber v tube muffler on youtube, a shop in Florida uses them.
I've also had a violator, widowmaker, gibson mwa race, classic chambered powerstick, the proven ground 14 inch.
Buddy asked me why I change exhaust so much, it's like getting a new truck everytime!
