Here's a good read explaining horsepower, torque, and how they relate. I understood the relationship in general, but this really gave me a better grasp of it.

Interesting article. So the rabbit hemi will beat the turtle diesel to the hill but the turtle will get to the top quicker

An old timer explained it to me this way - HP is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you go thru it
