So I've been milling some ideas around. I want my truck to have a unique look and while I actually like the stock chrome wheels, taking the Plasti-dip off took something away from my truck's overall look, IMO. Eventually I'll have some custom wheels in, at least, 22" but not now.

This pic includes a few ideas I have:

Color matched two-piece fuel door with black screws. (in the garage, but needs painted.)
Plasti-dipped stock wheels (all black this time, no lip)
3/5 drop (simply knocking a coil or so off my drop springs)
Side stripes (I want something that has a somewhat old school Mopar look)

All of these would actually be pretty easy and cheap to do and the only one that worries me is the 3/5 because reversing it would mean buying a new drop kit.

Also, I could do something a little different with the stripe and have "Hemi" or "345" cut out of the large rear area, but I've never been a big fan of labels.

I want real opinions on any or all of the ideas...not just a post-count-bumping "sweet." Tell me what you really think.

I like the no lip idea, as I was not a fan of it.

With the stripe being small like that I don't think you need anything in it. Could put "Hemi" in it rather than the HP rating as that could always change:naughty:

just kidding.....I say go for it.....just like what you said, all could easily be reversed except for the drop due to cutting the coils. Personally the lowering thing doesn't do it for me, but the black and mineral gray theme is cool.

First off, definitely plasti-dip the rims again. I really like the look, especially with the lip painted. If I would have done mine over again I would have painted the lip.

I'm not the biggest fan of a strip, but if you do, I wouldn't make it anything fancy. No wording. I'm not really into lowered trucks all that much, but I think with your 20s your truck sits really well as it is now.

Re-plasti-dip the rims and to me that gives it a pretty unique look the way you have it now.

345 is the size of the motor, not the horsepower rating. The 4th gens Hemis are 345ci with 390hp.

The rims are a definite. I also like the fuel door. I think the truck sets nice as it is and for the stripe, I could go either way on that. The truck looks good without it but I also think it would make the truck unique with it.

The stripe looks good as is. if you put any writing in it just put hemi. As for the wheels straight black would be nice. As for the drop i'd talk to copperhead, or chithead. they both have cut coils on their trucks.

I have a lot of information on cutting the coils so that's not the issue. The only thing I'm concerned about when cutting them is purely subjective...the ride quality after I do.

I agree with you bro.

I thought the sig pic was taken before you painted the wheels. I like the black wheels and stripe. Not sure about the drop though. Dont know how it will ride.

Id wait until I cut mine. But then again, not sure when that will be since the baby is here now....

I refraise that.... the lower the better. But i dont want u ruining a good set of coils.

I dropped $200 easily at Baby's -r-Us yesterday on things for my son. So if ur like me, I'm spoiling him more than the truck. The truck can wait, lol

Do the wheels, ditch the strip.
