Not with a 17’ you didn’t.... not with a 17’.

Is engine idle speed something you’re able to adjust on your tuner though?

not subs the amp.

Oh... So I am going budget.. I'm going with cea compliant rockville db15... Multiple independent folks have tested their amps and although they do slightly less then their claims it's not by much.

The Zapco is cool but cant compare to the other two amps in the pic. Lots of cash there...

I have a 17 Ram 1500 and Iwant to add a second battery under the hood. Do I need to buy a second battery tray from Mopar? Where can I put it to look factory stock like what would come in a Ram 3500 Diesel?

you get the CTD battery tray. itll bolt on to the opposite side of your current battery tray where the stock air filter box is. I have a vararam so I don't need to worry about that but if you don't, it should give you an excuse to get one, lol

To each its their own, good luck with that. back in the day i would call them the swap show amps. the amps here you hear ads for 10000 watts for $150... but like they even say on their site look at the cea rating and its a 900 watt amp.

basically you are giving good subs dirty power imo. i know people do testing on the power and "compare" but they dont do sound quality comparisons and that is where it would fail.

What amp throws exactly what they state vs the cea rating? Done some research and haven't seen one. He'll, most won't even mention their cea rating. They'll mention peak and rms...those numbers are usually on par with what they state as are Rockville.. no difference in there.

BTW, I'm not claiming these are better than $500+ amps but they'll do.

To me its not about the power its about the sound quality. A good clean amp you can expect to pay $0.75-1.00 per watt of power.

from the post it appears you are not interested in the sound quality and more so the power. If that is the case i wouldnt use those subs. those subs are a good sound quality when paired with the right amp.

I hears ya... they sound just fine with even crappier amps when I heard them. maybe my ears aren't as snooty as yours.
