I got my switch plate in yesterday and made a simple relay pack for it that will mount behind the dash somewhere. I only wired up the coil side at this point so I will just have to wire up the contacts as needed later when I add accessories. Not in a huge rush to install it just yet since I have nothing to power with it, but I did test it with a 12V power supply and it works like it should. Two of the wires get wired to a switched 12V source and one to ground. Then one side the coil to 12V and the other side to each output from the switch. I wired it up so I just have a 12V wire to connect and a ground.

That's really cool. Didn't know they made those factory. Never seen one on a Ram before.

They are on option on the cab and chassis trucks (4500-5500).

Where exactly does it mount?

Mounts in place of the RAM logo on the center dash. Trucks with more options are all ready going to be using the space though for heated/cool seat switches.

I really wish there was a way to add more buttons to it, but it's not possible unless you start modifying circuit boards and doing some crazy modifications. I would love to be able to add the factory heated seat buttons...

So all 7 switches work? That's alot of accesories! Would be cool if you could customize the front display. Wonder if you could take them apart, scratch all the paint off the front so light shines through, then paint the outlines of the words for the component kinda like the "AUX" is. So light would shine through when activated.

Just a thought.

No the center 3 buttons are just dummy plates and do not operate. Also, they do not light up like the factory buttons do, only the little square above the AUX lights up orange when the switch is on.

I agree, but its still better than drilling holes in the dash for switches.

I have the same plug and I assume it's for the switch panel with the heated seat buttons. I just zip-tied it out of the way.
