Fender flares and grill paint quantity?

Hey all,
I’m planning on using 12oz cans from automotivetouchup .com for my primer, base, and clear.

Who’s painted aftermarket ABS fender flares and a grille before and how much spray paint and clear did you need for the job?

I just recently repainted my rear bumper bright silver metallic. A can of primer, three cans of color, two cans of that spray max 2k clear (3 coats). I used DuPont for the color, don’t recommend as it doesn’t have enough metal flake in it. Bumper just for reference.


Forgot to add I also painted my aftermarket plastic grill. I used less than one can of black enamel spray, no clear.

Nice! I’m going to do my grille but I think I want to use 2k on it. How did the 2k turn out on your rear bumper?

It turned out really good. First time using it, minimal orange peel.

I would recommend a coat of "Adhesion Promoter" before painting.
