Well, received my third party fender flares today for my Hydro Blue truck and they did not align properly and it said "Matte Black" meanwhile the color COMPLETELY clashed with my black accent on trucks. Looked like a grey and looked horrible. Possibly gloss black would look good, but not I don't know..

Anyone know if its possible to buy fender flares painted or I'm assuming you have to take them somewhere to get painted. I seen bushwacker sells painted in colors, but not my blue..

Guess now I can look at mud flaps since fender flares failed.. I like a wide body stance. Wonder if I can find black not grey mud flaps now.

why not just take the ones you have and have them painted ?

And yes you can buy them prepainted but it would still be cheaper to buy unpainted ones and take them somewhere to get painted

I think some members have purchased some OEM style painted flares from e-bay. They don't look to bad and the paint seems to match. I'm sorry I don't have the link.

Not a big fan of the flare that doesn't fully wrap the front flares... after bruised knuckles, sore nose, and ton of stress and anger getting the damn pins in, I'm returning it. Want a full round flare, cant find painted blue online, and im sure it would be couple hundred to paint..

Yea, I checked eBay but no luck..maybe just because my blue is new? Not sure.

I had to get mine painted for a previous Ram. I purchased the Bushwacker pocket flares and had them painted locally as my color was not available from Bushwacker direct.

It might have been JB1 but i may be wrong, but the member bought the color matched bushwacker flares, and they did not match his truck. Better off getting them painted.

Ahhh half price is the way to go. Not paying that price. Wonder if that would match my blue though still.

Ordered mud flaps (going to try avoiding drilling that third hole, unless I have dealer do it, not sure yet), we’ll see how that goes.

Had to call some more places. Between $850-$880 without tax is what I’m being quoted at painted and installed.

$50 for front and $50 for rear mud flap (guess that’s before installation as well)..

And just waiting on bed extender install quote (don’t wanna drill the holes and void any warranty’s)..

Holy ****----that's the price to paint and install the flares??????? I think I paid a little over $200 to paint them and a 12 pack to install them. I think someone is trying to **** you----run run run----keep calling, someone is bound to be a lot more reasonable than that.

If they go for $450 I think I saw on Mopar and you paid $200 to paint, guess the $200 difference goes to install labor hah

Have you checked with Benny at All Mopar Parts, a vendor on this site, for the price of the flares? They seem to be pretty competitive. Also I have found that a body shop will probably paint the flares a little cheaper than the dealership will, but painting them to match isn't cheap. Materials are getting more and more expensive(paint and the clear)is out of sight. Installation isn't very tough and you probably can handle that yourself.

I guess I got lucky. Got my flares on sale for 180 and just paid like 80 for materials to paint and my bro in law painted em for a 12 pack he paints for a living. And install wasnt hard at all. Did it myself in under an hour 4436811df62ad9fe62449306affdecb1.jpg

Checked out all Mopar parts and honestly the price of the flares don’t seem too much less and they’re not painted, plus I wasn’t seeing one with the bolt design.

Yea that looks good! Same look I’m goin for. Not sure dealer will paint the screws black or use black screws though for the way I want it and don’t really wanna take it off to put black bolts in so might end up painting the screws while it’s in there hah. Here’s how I want mine to look (minus the lift right now).

The screws come not installed so you would just paint them black while they paint ur flares. If you look online can sometimes find mopar 20-25% off mopar product coupons. No reason to pay full price ;)

Mopar sells a bolt design, I have them on my truck in textured but they could sand smooth and paint. I bought powder coated screws, details below
