Finally buying wheels and tires... need suggestions for best site.

So I need new tires and decided it’s finally time to buy a set of new wheels and new tires. I’ve been looking on customwheeloffset.com and was curious what sites other recommend.

I am trying to stay in the budget of $2,500 for the whole package, with 20” wheels and 33” M/T tires.

Also looking for reviews on M/T tires and road noise and comfort. Anyone got any good suggestions for quieter and comfortable m/t style tires?

I went with Custom Offsets for the wheels Anthem Avengers 17 x 9 & zero offset. I got Toyo AT3 in 305/70r17 at the local ram dealer.

I second this. I’ve been a discount tire customer since i was 16 with my first car.

Also for m/t with a good warranty procomp has a m/t with a 40,000 mile warranty. Most m2t do not have a mileage warranty

Has anyone bought wheels from RealTruck.com? I am trying to buy the XD859 Gunner in the candy apple red but everywhere I look they are either sold out/back ordered or they only have 1-2-3 wheels and not a full set available. Real truck.com was one of the only sites with 4 available at checkout (I’d call and check before buying) but I wanted to see if others have any good or bad experiences buying from them.

M/T and Quiet usually aren't found in the same sentence, but, I have had good performance out of BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires. I have run M/T tires exclusively for over 30 yrs. Had those on my Toyota T-100 ( 3 sets) and my '09 Ram 1500 4x4 (4 sets). I like them. Gave very good wet traction. Excellent in North Jersey snow.

I've used TireRack for my last 6 or 7 tire purchases. Very happy. Good luck.

what happened? ive never had an issue and im curious as to what the shop did to lose your business.

also for the OP, if you dont have a discount tire near you, they will ship to your home via fedex and if you have their roadside hazard and blow a tire, they will ship a new one no questions asked.

They made a decision at the corporate level that goes against my morals. Wouldn't be real smart of me to give money to someone who's going to turn it around against me so they can push their agenda without my help.

I apologize that's unsatisfyingly vague but we're here to talk trucks not argue politics with each other so that's the most direct way I can say it. Whenever a business decides to take sides in a political or social issue they risk alienating potential customers, the suits at Discount get paid plenty to know this and they decided to go for it anyway.

Anyway back to tires talk, I've been happy with the selection and delivered prices at TireRack - I've got a tire shop in walking distance from my house that charges a fair rate to mount and balance so my bottom line cost and convenience is pretty good that way.

I went with Signature Performance Tire and Wheel out of Costa Mesa, CA. I got my Nitto Ridge Grappler's, TIS Wheels, TPMS sensors, Spline lug nuts, Mounted, Balanced, and shipped to Hawaii for right at $3,600. Audie was my sales guy and did a really good job with my deal. They were slow, but this was during COVID and everything seemed to take forever to arrive. Might be worth a call, but I'd work the best deal for sure. Never accept the first quote! Good luck with your quest...

Try a local 4 Wheel Parts. I was going to order from Custom Offsets but their lead times were crazy. Went to 4WP because they were installing my shocks and UCA's and asked if they could get the same package. They got the tires and wheels in less than a week and they were cheaper than CO because they had a sale on wheel and tire packages going on. They earned a customer for that.

I almost bought my wheels from RealTruck... had a very similar set at a comparable price, but ended up going with Custom Offsets. Didn't regret it.

I saw the 21-30 day timeframe, but i ordered mine last week and they shipped out today. Total time will be around 10-13 days.

I ended up buying from CustomOffsets and just got them on.












Nothing but praise to CustomWheelOffset.com. The initial shipping was 21-30 days and I got them in only 13 days. They discounted the order another $58 on the phone for no reason other then to just do it, I didn’t even ask. The wheels were SUPER protected, like over protected with foam padding and 2 sets of cardboard over the face of the rims, all shrink wrapped, then shrink wrapped a second time after the foam and cardboard. Wheels are perfect, not a single issue. I couldn’t be happier and I highly HIGHLY recommend Custom Offsets. They sent me a ton of free stuff, a shirt, hat, huge 24” banner sticker, and some other stuff too. They also had the best prices on the wheels I wanted and the tires.


**edit: The wheels & tires from Custom Offset took 13 days to get here. I ordered the wheels and tires on 4/22 and they arrived on 5/5. My post originally said they took 9 days and just now realized my mistake and corrected it.

I think it depends on the tire you choose. My previous RAM had 17's but I put on BFG's (E Load) and the larger profile helped fill it out a bit, at least I feel that way. Maybe this looks tiny to you?
