Hello from Va

Just bought my first Ram. Can not believe how much I love this truck already! ...but there are some fit and finish issues I did not expect.

My first truck was a 04 FX4 truck seemed bullet proof but lacking power w/ the 305 HP motor. Second truck was a 2010 Sierra SLE, loved that truck, smooth ride no problems at all, until I crashed it a few weeks ago avoiding a deer.

So I have been admiring Rams but none of my truck friends own Ram, they always say good engine but fit and finish lacking.

I test drove 4wd F-150 still too stiff of a ride as a commuter truck. Tried the Sierra, still like the ride but not inspired. Did not look at Toyota or Nissan.

Went to Ram saw the Black Ram Express and got the fever! ...told myself if it rides as nice as I heard I getting it. So I did! Best riding 4wd I have been in. My Sierra was 2wd.

I got the fever so bad on the Black Express that I did not look at other Rams. Kind of wish I did because there are feature I wish I would have got if they were in the price range.

The MSRP was $38k I got it out the door $30k.

Now there are some issues I did not anticipate, but only cosmetic so far. The paint in the door jams is so thin I can see through it. The bed appears to be on a little crooked. The gap between the cab and bed is 1/2 more on the passenger side than the drivers side. Which made the bumper crooked as well being it connects to the frame. Driver side there was a two finger cap between the bed and the bumper where it wraps around the bed. Real tight on the passenger side.

I loosened and adjusted the bumper myself still a bit more gap on the driver side then passenger but close enough. Exhaust tips are not installed as engineered. Meaning they are not centered and flush. Not sure if the tip is supposed to be exactly flush or stick out out a inch. need to go look at dealership I guess.

Anyway I am loving this truck, I put four coats of Liguid Glass on it and I get head turns everwhere I go.

Really looking forward to being a member of the forum!

Welcome!

Sorry to hear about your ride man.. seems like you have bad luck with trucks, huh? Well I would certainly bring the truck back up there ASAP so they can either replace your truck with another one or fix everything that wrong with the truck.
