Someone mentioned key?
The keys go bad apparently and have to be reprogrammed. News to me, from now on I'm carrying an extra key hidden inside.
WOW! That is a new one! I've heard of and matter of fact seen key go bad but only for opening and locking. That part can usually be solved by taking the fob apart and cleaning the contacts. But, be careful to not lose some tiny bits from inside the fob. (ask me how I know :( )

Yeah, the SKIM stops responding to the chip (mine had to be reset) in the key or the key chip goes bad and won't respond to the SKIM and your vehicle won't start. I had two keys that had to be reprogrammed at different times.
Now I carry a spare key hidden in the truck, just in case.
