Hello all,

Like the title says, first time Ram owner. Was almost one once upon a time long ago but with the birth of my daughter it had to go on the back burner. Been looking for a while since selling my F250 a few years back. To be honest, wasn't planning on buying anything until later this year but came across what I thought was a pretty good deal so I couldn't resist! :D Really liking it so far but it doesn't have a few things that I want and ended up stumbling across this forum searching for parts, and wow...what a plethora of information to go through!! Can't wait to dive in with the upgrades. First things up are the 7" cluster and 8.4 radio.

Thanks everyone! Just installed the DeeZee tailgate assist. Best 20 bucks spent so far. So I have been weeding through the different threads for a 7" cluster and my eyes are hurting. Does it matter which one? I have found plenty of them out there at varying prices, some greatly varying and was wondering if it was because they're from different trims? Laramie, Big Horn, SLT, Lonestar, Limited, Rebel...is it just the startup image? I've been sticking my search to '15-'17 year models.

Thanks!!

Welcome! But you do not have a tradesman, you have an express. No sense in telling people you have a base model when you don’t!

You're right. Paperwork says Tradesman and even the salesperson called it a Tradesman. However it has the 27J package which makes it an Express. Still consider it a base model though compared to other trucks I've owned.

Picked up a craigslist Tracrac ladder rack. Time for her to start earning her way. :) Not sure which model this is but I ended up having to mount the rails backwards with the "T" rail to the outside to allow the Revolver X2 open/close.

With the tapered bed of the Ram the image below was not going to work as it would overlap the cover towards the cab.

Rails reversed and mounted. The Revolver X2 seal rubs the last 18" or so towards the cab.

Not pictured are the top rail "stops" and tie downs...paint still wet.
