Don't want to eat the cost of color matched flares. Anyone have a pic of black flares on a Granite truck like mine? Would really like to see OE street style. Thx.

I'm in the same position as you. I google image searched and found some images by searching for "ram 1500 fender flares granite". The look of black flares on granite doesn't work for me :/

If you watch eBay they have new take offs in your color every now and then.... kind of a crap shoot but worth the wait if you are looking for color matched.

Its a tough call. Here are a few examples for you, albeit most are pocket style not OEM. Imo the truck needs to have either a very offroad look, or have black be apart of the theme to work. @JB1 I believe put OE 2500 unpainted flares on his truck, but the truck has a white and black theme, so it really flows together and looks purposeful. Some of the pics you can see it flows and some its a little out of place. With all the chrome on your truck plus black flares out of left field, it may leave something to be desired. You could always paint match later on..Good luck!8O6P1Dg.jpg 1974_bushwacker_fender_flares_pocket_style_dodge_ram.jpg 23149_77949_9fdf8083_0c7f_4a7a_9a3b_d78444afc7f5.jpg image.jpg

Precisely this. With the chrome bumpers and or chrome wheels, black flares look mismatched.

By comparison, look at the painted flares here:

(Looks like the images might be broken in the above thread but I'm leaving this here is case the work again.)

agree 100%. Typically not a fan of non color matched but think the first two examples look good.

Got it. Agree. I'll look for the right color.
Like I said you could always put them on unpainted and when you save the coin get them painted? Just thinking of options to get some flares on there asap
