I have a 2015 ram 1500 sport. I was driving the other morning, it was pretty foggy so I had my fogs on and the cluster lights turned down. I looked down at my speed and noticed my tacometer and speedometer lights were flickering. Anybody ever experience this? Also on a side note my uconnect has been freezing up lately. I had the truck in the dealership last month for some recall service. And ever since then it's been all wonky.

Yes. Mine does the same. There are videos of it on YouTube as well.

Dealer tried a software flash, now they are recommending a new cluster be installed.

Other threads here indicate the cluster swap doesn't necessarily fix either - problem is either elsewhere or cluster design is flawed.

Is it just your tach and speedo lights or also the display between them?!?!

I’m also having dash flickering in my ‘13 Ram Sport R/T 46k miles, my flickering started a couple months ago. To clarify, the “flickering” in my case is the computer display brightness is pulsing (not actually going all the way on and off), and it’s just the computer display between the tach and speedo, none of the other dash lights. This pulsing brightness happens day and night, whether the headlights are on or off, regardless of the brightness adjustment, and the speed of the pulsing changes (sometimes fast sometimes slower, but constant).

As to your Side Note: About a year ago I was having uconnect (8.4 non-nav unit) issues, it was constantly rebooting. After several calls to uconnect and pleading for an over the air update/refresh the problem went away. Something they did fixed the problem because I never took it to the dealership or did anything else myself.

Hope this helps and hope others chime in with dash lights issue, although it sounds like we have different lights that are flickering.
Keep us posted.

Thanks, CJ

It's probably not this easy... But it wouldn't hurt to check the battery and terminal connections.

My ‘16 sport did it. Dealer replaced cluster. Hasn’t done it since.
