No problem. I wish there was a way around this with the kit. I love the fog lights, but still want to be able to turn them off if I want.

For anybody curious, here's the instructions I was sent. Pretty much word for word.

Installation Instructions for 02 & up Dodge Ram High Beam Fog Light Kit.

1) Open hood and remove the driver's side head light. 3 bolts hold it in place. Pull the wiring back from the head light socket to see the wire colors.

2 ) Mount the conversion box to the inner core support towards the top on the right hand side, where the washer bottle bolt is. be sure to install the ground wire. This will be the short wire with the ring terminal.

3) Install a single t-tap on the WHITE wire with GREEN strip from the head light socket. Plug the WHITE wire from the conversion box into this t-tap.

4) Unplug the wiring from the fog light inside the bumper on the drivers side. It will be located on the back side of the fog light. Clean the wiring back and install the 2nd t-tap into the BLUE wire (or the fog light positive wire). Do not connect to the black wire!! Plug the long loomed wire with the BLUE male connector from the conversion box into this t-tap.

5) Run the long loomed wire with the ring terminal to the distribution box. Under the lid on the far left side you will find a 12V positive source. Mount the ring terminal to the power source and close the lid. Tuck any loose wiring back with zip ties. Check your work and you're done!

**You will notice with this kit your fog lights are on anytime your lights are on, not only when the high beams are on. This is an added safety feature to allow for better daytime running lights, not to mention it looks pretty cool set up like this! If you would rather have control of this and turn off your fog lights with your low beams, then you can connect a switch to the RED wire coming out of the conversion box.**

Dayum $30 for a relay, some wire, wire loom, fuse holder w/ fuse, and some zip ties? I'm in the wrong business....

I wonder if you could wire that into the stock fog light switch since its basically not getting used anymore
It would probably cause computer problems

I did this on my 06 Megacab 2500 and it worked great. I recall I could turn off the fogs on low beam but not High. Low should work as stock. Mark

Well....I bit the bullet and ordered one. That's what I get for leaving funds in my paypal account...

For kicks I wanted to go to the website to see if I could read more about it. Low and behold, on their website they are $14.99 + $15 to ship so I did that and checked out with paypal. I read some reviews on ebay and looks like other people have purchased the fog light kit (didn't see any that were Dodge's though). Still, I figure it's a $30 experiment. Besides, they offer technical support if you need help. :D

I know this thread is almost a year old but im wanting to buy this for my 07 1500. Have you had any problems with installation/operation? Any pros or cons?

I talked to my electric tech at the dealership about trying to make it work with his scan tools. He said he had never done it, but if it was avaiable he would turn it on for me. I think someone called it a euro flash????? If I could get it this way that would be awesome.

yes it would be! I have heard of it too, just gotta find a dealer that will do it for ya, which is sounds like you have!

I had the dealer hook mine up to their computer and he could not find any options for a euro flash or anything that related to this issue. Guess I will have to order the kit if I want em, but I dont like not being able to turn them off with the low beams. There has to be a better way.........

I've read quite a few times that the Fog Lights w/ High Beams can be done at a dealer with a scan tool. But I have yet to see anyone that has had it done, or atleast knows the name of the setting.... Is there anyone????

for older trucks, the dealer can use their tool to change to change a setting to "export" and the fogs should stay on with the high beam.

Starscan Main Menu > ECU view > FCM/CGW > Misc. Functions > Enable Front Fog Lamp Output >Start > Next > Disable > Next > Cancel > Start > Next > Enable > Next > Export > Next > Finish

My friend at the dealer did it on my 08 powerwagon
