Footwell lights

I bought some LED strips and I want to put them under the dashboard. Does anyone have ideas on where to wire them into? I would like it if they go on when the automatic lights go on.

You should have the wiring connectors for the footwell lights under the dash even if you don’t have the footwell lights.

I added LED strips since I didn't have footwell lights,
I put one in front of the center jump seat on the floor
and the other I put under the back seat. I tapped into
to the dome light circuit, on the drivers side of the
dash. they go on and off with the dome light, my wife
even likes them.

Did you run the wire under the carpet to the backseat?

yes, I pulled up the sill plates front and back and ran the wires under
them and then under the carpet and taped the wire to the
underside of the back seat. the LED strips I bought at
Walmart for 8 bucks for both

Do you have a pic of the rear, where you mounted them?
