Found me a RamBox!

I ordered a new '13 with Ram Boxes........absolutely loved them. One major problem is IF you want a bed cover, there is not one that exists that is truly water proof when used with the Ram Boxes.

Found this 6.4 RamBox for sale. Think the tailgate is crap but the rest looks ok, still need to see it in person though. What do you all think of these? Any idea what this is really worth paying for?

My pace Edwards electric bed cover is bone dry after all but a monsoon downpour... and even then the water that does get in is by design.... the standing water on the cover runs into the canister containing the bed. Then drips into drain tubes and out of bed bottom (if you have a hole handy or are willing to make one). I didnt/ wasn't but I get so little water ingress ever I know it was the right decision. Sick AF in the looks and use dept. Fits my ram box truck to a T and still allows the use of the sliding tie downs! It can lock in any partial open position to accommodate and secure odd shaped loads. The one down side.... spendy. Well two if you count installation and you DIY. You WILL need a friend. Lol

By looking at all the pics can anyone tell what year it may be? Power locks? Looks like one door may be bent backwards a bit. Also looks like the tailgate may be trash.

The tailgate on your truck should fit it if the ram box tailgate is trash. Or I’d think so anyway.

Yes, mine should fit just fine. I can most likely still sell that tailgate for $100 as is. Its worth more than that in parts.

I didn’t see where it’s damaged in the pics. I could see a reflection on the pic of the outside but inside looks perfect. The rambox lid is in good shape as well.
Better hurry before I get there. Lol JK.

How much could I get if I sold my 6.4 standard bed less the tailgate and lights? This may be the deciding factory in buying the RamBox as I may be able to cover the cost of the new bed and have extra to pay for paint and parts if needed.

My bed is in excellent condition, no dents, no scratches. Still like new.

^ Possibly but then you might be sitting on it for awhile.. imo if you can damn there break even switching over to a ram box and not worried about storage your old bed it’s worth it..

I’m not seeing that in your photos?
Power lock came available in 2013..... rambox on 6.4 bed 2011.

If you get over 700 on your bed without the tailgate... take it and don’t look back.... maybe 1000 with the TG. Get him to send you a picture of the cab side of the bed. There is a sticker with the manufacture date, unless he’s taken it off

As far as hauling it goes, if you rent a trailer make sure it’s got more than 6 feet between the wheel wells .....the bed width is about 6’6” as I recall. Most trailers are 6 foot between the wheel wells
