I go in Friday morning to get coil overs done. Hopefully the week after that for the rears.

@JB1

While I’m at it, do you have any bump stops you’d recommend or is the stock worth upgrading? None of the hydraulic ones but I wouldn’t mind spending 100-200$.

Just a quick update during the coilover install.

The shops got my current shocks off the front and apparently they are ever so slightly bent. No clue how that could have happened.

Good news too.

With the procomp kit, I was told by the bds dealer/ shop I’m working with that to convert over to a 5” coil, it would only be 400$ as I don’t need the entire 025509 kit.

I’ll be sure and make a new thread on this issue but both my front pro comp pro runner shock struts were bad. One was COMPLETELY empty and the other was half way there. Ended up driving an hour away to the shop on nothing but front coils.

You need both rear coils, you need the bump stop brackets and the panhard relocation bracket....aside from not using the sway bar ends, a brake line drop bracket and upper control arm bracket that is the complete rear 5” kit, for $400 I would go for that deal

Awesome thanks. I figured 400$ is better than 700$ for the entire kit. The shop said they could order the parts individually rather than the whole kit which is nice. Also that’s installed price.

I’m happy to read everything seems to be working out for you so far. I know you were kinda feeling alone in the new town with a broken truck. Glad everything is looking up for you man congratulations

Finally got home.

My initial impressions of the coilovers; I love them. I noticed right away that the truck seems to keep level moreso when turning or going over bumps. When you brake I also noticed that I didn’t feel the front end go down really much at all. Considering I’m going from no shocks at all functioning in the front to these though makes everything a whole lot more noticeable.

In regards to my previous shocks, they did for no reason give out. I had just had them installed a couple months ago and under 3500 miles on them. They were running a spacer too. I reached out to 4 wheel parts where I had gotten them and they took them back and gave me a full refund. Turned right around and ordered the matching rear shocks from fox and they should be on the truck before next weekend.

Looks great, congrats. Did you gain any height or did you need to make any adjustments?

How's your front side to side measurements.....close to even?

Fender measurement before and after?

I believe the width is still the same. Sitting around 83”. Height wise it’s actually a little shorter but they ended up doing 8 twists down on the coilover. Went from 11.5 to 9.5 for the front. I’ll have it re-adjusted once I go back in for the rears.

You have a lot of open threads in those CO's to go higher.Let them sit for some days/miles then adjust.

Is it true though that you have to pull the entire thing out, compress the spring, then adjust the ring?

How much room do you have between the stock U.C.A. and the reservoir hose? Does it rub at all?

I’ve got a pair of these coilovers in the garage I’m wondering if new U.C.A. will provide more or less room from the hose.
