Hot Damn they look great!
Glad you like them. Bushwackers are garbage.
You're videos are a blast.
Are those the bushwhacker 1500 or 2500 flares?
Really, why? What would you suggest?
If hes like me, It probably comes from the Wrangler TJ world where Bushwhackers are the fender flare of choice by the uninformed in most cases. Extremely Brittle is their biggest fault. Much of my brand dislikes stem from about a million years of playing with Jeeps .
Just make sure you put some 3m clear tape where the rubber seal contacts the paint. If not, they’ll eat right through your paint. I called Bushwacker about that after a few months when it happened to me. They told me that not only they knew it was a problem but there is a disclaimer in their instruction sheet saying this could happen. Of course I couldn’t find such a statement in their instructions nor their website. They weren’t willing to do anything but send me more of the their rubber seal which caused the problem in the first place. Needless to say I ended up throwing them in the garbage. I’ll never buy Bushwackers again. Like I said, protect your truck with the clear 3m strip under their rubber seal.
Ok well noted
I initially bought a set of bushwackers for my Ram painted PW7 white. I wasn’t impressed with the fitment, couldn’t get that rubber trim to stay on where it angles around the headlights. After battling that rubber trim I went to install them and the paint didn’t match so I said screw it, returned them and got my $800 back, never again.
This pic below isn’t my truck but this is how mine matched
Seems to me that the problem lies with the rubber edge not sitting the way it’s supposed to sit and it moves causing wear. I’m glad you took the initiative with your Mopar flares just in case. These flare makers need to add double sided tape to their designs so it would minimize movement, much like the OEM smooth ones that Mopar makes.
The mopar flares have a much better rubber trim than the bushwackers did
