For the past few weeks, the front collision warning will go off randomly and scare the bejesus out of me while I'm driving. Most recently did it this morning on the interstate while driving to work. There was no one in front of me, and out of the blue the loud BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP, then it just went away.

Anyone have issues with this? My fear is that it'll eventually go off randomly and lock up the brakes and put me into a world of hurt.

Dirty sensors will sometimes give false indications. You may need to clean them. I find on my 2019 once in a blue moon fronts or rear go off and there is nothing there. Also say you are backing/pulling into a sharp incline/defilade my sensors sometimes go off. Just weird.

The truck was washed two weeks ago. But I'll check the censors to make sure they're clean. I had to turn off the rear collision warning because if I backed into at parking space too quickly, it would blaze that warning and slam on the brakes.

(You know the rear sensors also has Rear ParkSense Braking Assist that U can turn off in U Connect. The rear proximity still work, just not park assist. I had a fern set off mine parking in a restaurant lot backing in and the system locked up my brakes.)

Depending upon your installed trim and settings, you could also have: Forward Collision Warning — If Equipped.. There are settings in U connect for this also, but I have a lowly Biggyhorn, only have front/rear and rear ParkSense Braking assist. A lot may depend upon what trim level is installed in your truck and what other functions you have on your vehicle.

ADDED: IF U R still having problems and concerned, U could go to dealer and have them reflash the software and check them, but that gonna cost $$$$$$$$$.

I do sometimes get phantom warnings and you look and see NOTHING and U think, WTF over. Just saying.
